Swiss Cut TN

Safe cutting of high-strength steel tubes on welding lines with inner planning seam.

Exposed internal weld planning seams represent a considerable vulnerability of chipping the saw blade, cutting tubes using TCT circular saw blades. Following a fundamental analysis of this problem, SW WIL engineers succeeded in developing a complete new TCT-circular saw blade.

Two aspects were to be considered: 1st minimizing the risk of chipping	2nd extra high life time Thanks to the new developed geometry of the base blade – raised nose - , the risk of brakes has been reduced by several scales. Practical tests showed, that the weld planning seam is not cut at once but in several successive steps. To also full fill the second demand for a extra high life time, the SW WIL technicians, in co-operation with a Swiss hard metal producer, developed a new kind of hard metal, which offers an especially high bending brake strength. Long-term practical tests with the Swiss Cut TN, proved that the new TCT-circular saw blade of SW-WIL completely full fills these high requirements. A test will convince you that the SW-WIL engineers succeeded in perfectly solving an ambitious problem with the new SwissCut TN .
