MFL at the EMO

The Sawing Technology by MFL you will find at EMO 2007 in Hannover, booth number C 38 in Hall 16.
MFL is a leading manufacturer of high power cold circular sawing plants, with worldwide supply of equipment based on a standard design. The company’s customers are mostly from the European and Asian markets, comprising of precision and seamless tube manufacturers.
These plants are designed for sawing of stainless steel, ferrous and non-ferrous material in form of billets, tubes, profiles and plates.
These custom-made solutions are used for specific applications such as tube or profile layers, billets or plate sawing plants. Each of these machines is intended to utilise carbide tipped saw blades, which guarantee an accurate and high capacity by less costs and long tool life time.
MFL is supplying sawing machines for round materials and tubes from 30 mm up to 800 mm in diameter. The saw blade diameter, which is used for cutting of 800 mm in diameter, is 2200 mm. The biggest square dimension that can be cut with MFL sawing machines is 720 mm.
MFL has currently developed and sold a layer sawing machine with a layer width of 1,5 m which is used for cutting of tubes, I- and U-beams, sheet pilings and angles. This big layer width is a worldwide unique development.
In addition, MFL is supplying sawing machines for cutting of aluminium plates. Our aluminium plate sawing machine that has been delivered to a Russian customer is able to cut aluminium plates with an incoming length 16 000 mm and width of 2600 mm at the plates length and cross side. The sawing machine is equipped with 3 sawing stations (1 cross sawing station and 2 length sawing stations). This machine works fully automatically.
Another new development of MFL is the steel slab (plate) sawing machine. Due to the forces inside the material, cutting of slabs is a very difficult process. The new MFL sawing machine is able to cut this kind of material despite the hard conditions.
An application for MFL sawing machines is also cutting of coupons, tensile and other samples for the quality control. This kind of sawing machine has already been sold to several European customers.
For manufacturers of railway rails MFL offers a special kind of sawing machine. MFL produces combined rail sawing and drilling machines. This kind of machine cuts and simultaneously drills a hole into the rail. This guarantees very short cycle times for the cutting and drilling process.
MFL is an experienced supplier of chip removing process and delivers turnkey plants as well as single machines for the modernisation or increased performance of tube production.
