E-TURN, Fully electric bending machine
BLM SPA introduces the new series of fully electric bending machines E-TURN, with right and left in-process bending.
Available in three configurations, up to O.D. 30, 35 or 40 mm, E-TURN is managed by a powerful CNC with 3D Visual Graphic Programming (VGP) controlling and moving its 12 axes.
This model widens the range of electric machines offered by BLM (E-BEND76 bender and TUBEFORM endformer) to meet demands for the bending of small-medium sized tubes typically used for complex car components, hydraulic pipes, motorcycle and furniture
E-TURN with the all electric technology offer following main advantages:
- Production increase from 20% to 50% compared to traditional powered models.
- Dramatic reduction of the programming and change-over times: the quick change-over does not need further setup, as the electric axes automatically adjust positions
- Independence from the operator’s skills, which does not affect the final result. This secures constant quality with automatic adjustments via CNC, storing all parameters and allowing them to be re-called without further mechanical adjustments.
- Constant repeatability and piece quality: all machines movements are controlled and repeated by brushless motors with centesimal accuracy, including the closing of clamping and rollers, as well as pressure die mandrel retraction.
- Zero scraps as bend trials are no longer required: the first piece is the good one.
- Quick and safe programming with VGP 3D checking on the screen the real piece feasibility, indicating the cycle time and the possible collision risks and simulating all working cycles, choosing the best ones for the correct production of pieces.
- Safe costs estimation and quotation up to the order: for contractors and for engineering departments the Visual Programming Software VGP3D is an excellent device to define in advance and for sure production times and relative costs.
- Reduction of handling and flow-time: with the in-process right and left bending, the integrated load and unload, the combination of fixed and variable radii you can optimise just in time operations and minimise room in the factory, eliminating encumbering boxes of pieces in process waiting to be finished.
- Increased range of new operations: you can produce complex pieces with R 1D using the bend boost device 2000 kg, whose power can be modulated during the bending, and adjusting the clamping torque depending on the required stresses to avoid marks.
- Tube loading and unloading are integrated in the machine, therefore no manipulators or additional robots or complicated and expensive unload devices are required, not even in case of long tubes (5000mm)
- Environment-friendly: E-TURN has low power consumptions, up to 1/10 compared to traditional technologies since power is required only when axes move. “Office” noise level and, clean technology and low-level maintenance procedures. Without oil disposal is not required.
