CM502, new version

The continuous development of Adige’s cut-off and end-finishing machines for tubes and solids has generated into a new version of the CM502 model.

Compared to the previous version, this new version stands out for:

-	Increased maximum piece length, up to 650 mm,

-	Enhanced productivity, from 30 to 50% higher (dependent on the machined piece),

-	Wider range of applications with the radial working head.

Starting from bundles of tubes and solids from diameter 10 to 102 mm, CM502 separates the single bar from the bundle, cuts it off to size and finishes the two ends.

The working cycle is fully automated and managed via CNC: starting from the bundle of tubes or bars, the piece is selected, loaded, cut with a blade. The two ends are finished on one or two stations and measured in-line. The pieces are finally sorted out and rejected if out of tolerance.

The following operations can be made:

- chamfering, to eliminate burr and sharp corners

- spot-facing, for a better accuracy on the final piece length

- turning

- threading

- axial drill (for solids)

- CNC-turning

Cermet covered tool bits are employed to cut materials with hardness up to 1200 N/mm2.

Main advantages:

-	Unique piece clamping (both while being cut and machined) for a secure repeatability and accuracy

-	Up to three simultaneous operations

-	Quick cutting of thick tubes and solids with the appropriate cutting parameters, which are automatically determined by the CNC and are not dependent on the operator’s skills

-	In-line measure of all produced pieces to comply with tolerances. Bad and good pieces are then automatically sorted out, and the relative data are stored on the CNC with the corresponding cpK.

-	Quick and accurate change over: all positions of the working units are adjusted via CNC, with a reduced change over time, in many cases from 2,5 hours to 45 minutes, helpful for pre-production arrangements.

-	Unmanned operations, on up to three working shifts

-	By means of specific working cycles, further advantages can be obtained, such as the preservation of the internal surface of thin tubes and the piece cleaning, to avoid further manipulations.

CM502 is particularly suitable for the production of components for the automotive, track, cycle and motorcycle, as well as mechanical industries.

BLM GROUP can be your global partner for the whole tube processing, due to a world-wide presence and to the infinite range of applications, made possible by the three “dedicated” companies, with the highest level of experience and qualified engineers, result of over 50 year-long activity in the tube technology:

- BLM SPA, located in Cantù (CO), specialist for CNC bending machines, end-forming machines, measure units, integrated and automated working cells.

- ADIGE SPA located in Levico Terme (TN), specialist for tube laser cutting machines and sawing machines for tubes, solids and profiles. Last but not least, deburring and washing machines, collecting systems also belong to the range of products .

- ADIGE-SYS SPA located in Novaledo (TN), specialist for “combined” tube and sheet laser cutting systems.
